ACCLAIMED FOR EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE
The positive football that Galatasaray displayed against Bayern Munich left the Italian referee Davide Massa in awe. Here are the words he shared during a conversation with Okan Buruk…
“THIS TEAM WILL GO FAR”
Rather than focusing on Cim-Bom’s defeat, the highlight became Bayern Munich’s powerless state for 70 minutes, while the yellow-reds’ performance garnered praise from all quarters, young and old alike.
“WE REALLY STRUGGLED”
In a conversation with Galatasaray’s Director of Research and Development, Fatih Demireli, Bayern Munich’s Head Coach Thomas Tuchel also expressed his admiration, saying, “Galatasaray played an incredible game in the first half. This is a different level. If you build on this, it can take you to great places.”
“BAYERN WOULD NEVER FALL INTO THIS SITUATION”
Emphasizing that playing away against Galatasaray was no easy feat, Tuchel also remarked post-match, “We really struggled in the first half. Playing under such intense pressure was not easy.”
REF PRAISES G.SARAY
The administrators of the German team, who had discussions with the yellow-red directors, also commented, “There are very few teams that can bring Bayern Munich to this state. We prayed for a draw in the first half. Galatasaray deserves to advance from the group stage.”
REVENUE IS 52 MILLION LIRA
Galatasaray earned 40 million Turkish Lira from ticket sales in their match against Bayern Munich. It was reported that the Galatasaray Store located next to Ali Sami Yen Complex’s Rams Park made sales amounting to 12 million Turkish Lira on the day of the match. Thus, the yellow-red club generated a revenue of 52 million Turkish Lira on the match day.
